Kateri did a family photo shoot for us this summer. We had never done one before, and didn't know what to expect, but she was easy to work with and immediately put us and our kids at ease. Kateri photographed our wedding in the Finger Lakes and did an absolutely beautiful job capturing our special day! We had a very small, and intimate wedding lakeside, and Kateri captured every moment of the ceremony that was important to us with such detail and love. I have long admired Kateri's gorgeous wedding and portrait work, and was excited to find that she also offers photo sessions for businesses. While my cut flower farm is lucky to often get professional photos back from wedding clients of our design work, I have so few that show the many other steps involved in growing flowers. I booked an evening session in the summer with Kateri, and we lucked out with beautiful light and good weather. She put me at ease with her calm demeanor, and listened to my requests for areas to focus on. Two weeks later, dozens of beautiful photos arrived in my inbox, and I feel so grateful for Kateri’s experienced knowledge and observant eye. These stunning photos will be so useful in the years ahead, giving me high quality images to use on our website, on social media, and in communication with clients about the types of flowers and foliages we grow, and our growing practices. We are going to do another session in the fall so that I’ll also have photos showing the changing of the seasons, and the transition to the autumn flower divas (DAHLIAS!). Kateri was a low-stress dream to work with! We had the opportunity to meet her in person 5 months prior to our wedding in Ithaca and knew right away she had the relaxed and confident personality we wanted for our special day. Last minute we decided to add more time to our original agreement and she was flexible with agreeing to stay longer and help capture more moments. And that is exactly what she did! She captured not only beautiful photos of my husband and I, she captured the love, joy, and happiness of our guests as well! I loved that Kateri was willing to do try new things and see how they turned out i.e., photos in an asparagus and onion patch, on top of hay bales and tractors, and they all look beautiful! We highly recommend Kateri for your event!
I am so thankful I found Kateri! My partner and I eloped in NY from out of town. We initially didn’t know much about the area and began the planning process about a month in advance, so we were on a tight time budget in terms of logistics. Kateri was quick to respond to my initial inquiry, so easy to talk to, and gave me a plethora of information about the area. Since our elopement was very different than a standard ceremony + reception style wedding, she even offered to draw up a customized photography package for us based on our needs. Kateri helped us nail down exactly where we wanted to tie the knot by giving me detailed descriptions of places we’d never even seen before. The day of our elopement, she spent plenty of time with us and offered helpful direction to ensure our snaps were beautiful. We absolutely LOVE our photos!! They are rich in color, beautifully portray the scenery around us, and perfectly capture the immense happiness we both felt that day. I highly recommend Kateri!!
