Finger Lakes Forest Home Family Session

When Nadia contacted me about doing a family session, I could tell she was excited about and proud of the home that she and her husband Brad had recently finished building themselves, in heart of The Finger Lakes National Forest. I was excited too. It was early November when I finally made it there, and most of the fall color was gone, as the trees had just about finished shedding their leaves. The weather was unusually sunny and hazy at the same time, and provided beautiful light throughout the woods and adjacent meadow. Every family is as singular as the individuals in it, and every session is as unique as the family that I am photographing. I am very grateful that through my job, I meet so many different people and see interesting places that I otherwise  would not.
